Good piece and today’s news is very welcome. Congratulations to all those who fought so hard on this. maryam Namazie, Nick Cohen and Yasmin Alibaih-Brown especially. I was so disgusted by Caroline Lucas’ and Natalie Bennett’s silence that after 32 years of membership I have resigned from the Green Party. I spent a couple of weeks trying to get an answer from both politicians and eventually, after much coaxing, Natalie Bennett told me it “wasnt a Green Party priority”. That was the point at which I finally resigned. I feel very very angry about this and I dont know who Lucas and Bennett hope to impress, but their silence was and is incredibly loud.
