The US has about twice the violent crime as the UK…and more than 5x the population. Therefore you are more than twice as likely to be a victim of a violent crime in the UK. Do the math – personally I would rather take the approx 19 million fewer violent crimes in exchange for the 5000 additional gun murders (both numbers adjusted for population.)
